Mjellby Art Museum - beautifully situated just outside Halmstad on the west coast of Sweden - is an art museum where you can find shifting exhibitions of the Halmstad Group, the most important Swedish link to French cubism in the twenties and surrealism in the thirties. In addition you will find exhibitions and activities focusing on international modern and contemporary art. Discover a world of art in the unique atmosphere of Mjellby Art Museum.

Monday - Sunday 12.00 noon - 5.00 p.m.

The exhibition links back to Mjellby Art Museum’s pioneering 2006 exhibition The Famous and the Forgotten – Swedish Female Modernists 1900-1930.In a change of focus for the 2016 exhibition, we examine the norms and ideals that govern and construct the narrative about Swedish male modernists.
